What is this site about?

Polloot.com allows you to create dynamic, custom, community-building content for your site. After a quick setup, you can create dynamic Flash-based quizzes, polls, surveys, and wordsearches. You can then easily integrate this content into your site, or you can link directly to your interactivities on our site.

Are there any site requirements for best experience?

Modern browsers should have no problem using Polloot.com. At a bare minimum, you need to have a browser with javascript and cookies enabled. Without them, you will not be able stay logged in, and use aspects of the site like ratings and parts of the "Your Stuff" page. But your browser should have these set up as the default, so you should be fine.

You also need to have the Flash player installed. We recommend having the latest player, but you can get by with the previous version, Flash 8. If you have used Youtube, Google Video, or listened to music on MySpace, your Flash player should be current enough. If you're worried, you can easily get the latest player.

Our generators and players all provide a simple method of upgrading for those who have Flash 6 or 7. If you don't see the "Upgrade Now" message at the beginning of our generators, you can visit Adobe's website and get the latest Flash player. Just follow their simple installation instructions

How do I get started?

First, you need to register at Polloot.com. You can do so here, and it is quick and painless, requiring only an active email account for validation. Once you register, you will receive a validation email. Follow its instructions to validate your account. Once that's done, simply visit our Create page and start one of the generators. You can find help on how to use them on the Create page.

Do you protect my privacy?

Polloot.com only uses your email address for account validation, and will never sell it to third parties or use it for internal marketing purposes. Your content will only ever be publicly associated with your login name. Read our privacy policy.

Can I delete an account?

Yes, you can, from the Your Stuff page. Your content will stay, however, unless you specifically delete it before deleting your account. You can delete your content from the Your Stuff page, too.

I speak a language other than English. Do you support it?

Our "Pollootion" trivia & quiz generator generator supports the full Latin and Cyrillic character sets. The "SmogWords" word search generator fully supports the Latin character set. The site itself is currently fully translated only in English. If you have great translation skills, and wish to help us with a translation, please send us your resume!
